Keith Urban serenaded Ellen with his latest single “Raise ‘Em Up” ft. Eric Church. The song is nominated for a Grammy along with “Meanwhile Back At Mama’s” Tim McGraw ft. Faith Hill. Both tunes were written by Tom Douglas, Jaren Johnston and Jeffrey Steele.
We all lost a remarkable songwriter this weekend. My dear friend Reed Nielson passed away and what a loss it is. His life will live on in the incredible music he created from his work with Nielsen/Pearson to Eddie Rabbitt to Billy Ray Cyrus to Vince Gill and others with songs like “Liza Jane”, “Could’ve Been Me”, “What The Cowgirl’s Do”, “My Town” and many more. I miss you Buddy, I hope you’re biking in the clouds!
