We need your help

We still need volunteers to help with the demolition of the Brentwood Y Skatepark this weekend.  Sept 24th - 26th.  If you can help with the labor of tearing out the old park, or can donate food or snacks please let us know.  We have to have the demolition complete so the new construction can begin Monday.The new Brentwood Y park will be renamed the Alex LeVasseur Memorial Skatepark, in honor of Jeffrey Steele's son who passed away tragically in January of 2007.  Jeffrey and his family started a Fund with the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee after they lost Alex as a way to give back to youth in need.  They have established a scholarship program with Rocketown in Nashville with helps overlooked and at-risk youth by creating programs to motivate them in school and in life.  The program, in it's fourth year, currently supports 13 Metro Nashville students.  The Skate Park Project with the Y will continue to give back to the community of local youth by creative a safe and supportive environment for them to skate.To read more about the project with the Y go HEREIf you can help this weekend as Jeffrey and his family create a place in honor of Alex and what he loved please contact us at RememberAlex.com@gmail.com
